Pro-G Media launches Pro-G TV and appoints Producer
London, England, February 9 2007: Pro-G Media, publisher of the popular UK video games editorial website Pro-G, today expanded its offering with the launch of Pro-G TV, a new and cutting-edge video streaming service now available at www.pro-g.tv.
Content on the service will be updated every weekday with new game trailers and official videos. Shortly after the launch, the publication will begin to produce high-quality original video content, aimed squarely at consumers. Managing the development of this original content will be newly appointed Producer Nick Peres, who has production experience with several organisations including the BBC, the Ministry of Defence, and Free Range Television.
The launch has been kick-started with a campaign for Eidos’ latest game, Battlestations: Midway, demonstrating some of the unique marketing opportunities this new service has created for games publishers.
The Pro-G TV player utilises the very latest technology in combination with proprietary software to provide a seamless experience for users, and offers the highest quality video stream of any games website in Europe, alongside two lower speeds to cater for users with slower internet connections. The video player also pioneers complete integration with the rest of the website, and enables users to rate their anticipation of upcoming games, providing useful statistical information to consumers, publishers, and retailers alike.
